Michelle Hall:

On today's episode, find out how you can get access to 24 days of inspiration, and not only will it be inspirational, it will also be fun. The inspirational content will revolve around self-love, resilience, confidence and self-esteem. Now, who wouldn't want that? Stay tuned and find out all about it.

Michelle Hall:

This is Broken to Bless, a podcast for women survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I am your host, michelle Hall. I am a certified Christian life coach and I am also a survivor of childhood sexual abuse and for many years I felt broken because of that experience. But thank God for his blessings. He pulled me out of brokenness and into blessings Hence the name of the podcast and I want the same for you. Healing is possible if you're willing to do the work. Let's get started. Hello, esteemed ones, and thank you for joining me on this episode of Broken to Bless.

Michelle Hall:

I'm excited to tell you about a thing that I am doing starting December 1st, but before I get to that, I want to say that, as a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, I had a lot of the typical thoughts that so many other survivors have I am not worthy, I am not enough, I am alone, I am insecure and afraid. These thoughts weighed heavily on my mind for way too many years. These thoughts and feelings that I had about myself kept me from living my life as the true and authentic version of who I was created to be. I did not get many affirmations or positive reinforcements in my younger years, so this thing that I'm doing, starting December 1st, is designed to forward to anyone who needs to hear good and positive things about themselves. For the first 24 days in December, you can get an inspirational message from me. Every day for 24 days, I have created a 24 day women's empowerment experience in the form of a virtual advent calendar. Every day for 24 days, you can access this calendar and get an inspirational quote and some expanded commentary related to the quote in the areas of self-love, resilience, confidence and self-esteem. I chose these four areas to focus on because these are areas that survivors often struggle with. Even if you haven't experienced anything traumatic, you can still benefit from an inspirational message, right? I mean, who wouldn't want to be inspired to love themselves more, to be more confident and resilient and build healthy self-esteem? The best thing about this is that it is free to anyone that has the calendar link. Yes, it is 100% free. I don't even ask for your email address for you to gain access to the calendar. I just want to share inspiring content as we head into the busy holiday season and year end.

Michelle Hall:

December can be a very busy month, with holiday shopping, traveling, cooking, partying, gift wrapping, decorating, entertaining and all the things. This virtual calendar can serve as a quick moment of solitude and reflection for how the quote applies to your life. Some doors on the calendar will even have a short video from yours truly. With additional inspiration, be sure to pay very close attention to the quote in the commentary section, because some days, there will be links included that will allow you to download some free goodies or access additional content. I'm so, so, very excited about this event, but let me tell you how this even came about.

Michelle Hall:

I saw on Facebook that a fellow life coach was advertising her virtual calendar and I thought it was very intriguing. I reached out and asked her how she created it. She was very willing to share the website that she used and how she is using it for her business. So I want to give a huge shout out to Sandy Bartlett, who is a self-discovery coach, and I really appreciate her willingness to help me out. Sandy and I were in an online eight week build your own brand boot camp, and one of the first things that we had to do for the boot camp was pick our brand color palette and post it into the class Facebook group. I wouldn't you know that Sandy and I have very similar brand colors of purple and teal, and that great minds think alike, right? I joined Sandy's email list and got access to her calendar that also starts on December 1st. I'm excited to see what she has behind each door on her calendar. I will leave a link in the show notes for you to request access to her calendar, and you can get a double dose of goodness if that's what you choose to do. But please be aware that you are required to join her email list to get the link to her calendar, but otherwise it is free as well, just like mine.

Michelle Hall:

The platform that Sandy and I used to create these beautiful calendars is wwwmyadventnet. This website has a free and paid version for the virtual calendar, and it can be used for other events, such as women's Bible groups, bible study groups or Facebook challenges or even countdowns to events. So check it out If you feel like you could use this resource, this tool, for some information drip to your peeps. It could be helpful. Of course, this virtual calendar is based on the concept of the Advent calendar that has its origin in the religious sector. The Latin translation for Advent means arrival or coming. In the Christian traditions, advent is a four-week period intended to be a time of preparation for the arrival of Jesus Christ.

Michelle Hall:

In more recent years, advent calendars have become more popular and decorative and less religious based. You may have seen the calendars in the stores. They have doors or windows on the calendar box and each day you can open a new door to find a chocolate or figurine or some type of trinket as you move closer to Christmas. This virtual Advent calendar, as I said before, can be used for a variety of things, so it's very versatile and hopefully you can find a use for it.

Michelle Hall:

So where can you get access to my virtual calendar, you ask? Well, there is a link to the calendar in the show notes, as well as a link to Sandy's calendar in the show notes, and you can also get the link for my calendar in my Facebook group named the esteemed ones. So if you don't have it, what are you waiting for? Get it now. Let's have a little fun and inspiration as we navigate this busy holiday season and in the year on a high note, recognizing your potential and possibilities. Drop me an email to let me know what you think about the calendar. My email address is Michelle at livetheestemedlifecom. Until next time. Thank you for joining me on this episode of Broken to Blessed. Subscribe to the podcast and share it with all of your sister girlfriends. This podcast may be the catalyst to their healing journey. And remember life can get better. You just have to do the work. God bless.
